When a community comes together, it’s really inspiring! And 2 local radio stations rallied the community last week to help those in need.
94.1 CJOC and 98.1 The Bridge picked up the call we made for water bottles needed during the recent heat wave in Lethbridge. Thanks to the challenges to their listeners and social media audiences, the response was impressive!
You are absolutely incredible #YQL! Just after 8:00, we crushed our $1000 goal for @streetsaliveLA! Now let’s see how high we can take it. Call 403-388-4646 if you want to join, we’re still taking donations!

Then, Jordan and Sam dropped off some of the collection:
Jordan & Sam dropping off over $1700 in water donations collected from listeners to Streets Alive Mission! Don’t you just love it when our community comes together ♥
Contributions like this simply can not go unrecognized.
Pastor Ken stopped by the station to present a special Compassion Award to them for their “efforts to help the least of these”!
These awards are created by specifically for Streets Alive Mission and no two of them are alike. This particular award depicts the story of the Good Samaritan.
It’s a small token of our appreciation, because efforts like these really are priceless. Helping those in need, as well as reminding the community about the work that is done a the Mission – these are invaluable!!
When community businesses step up to the plate like this on our behalf, please be sure to support them, as well. Let them know you appreciate their efforts to make Lethbridge a better place.
Thank you to the radio stations, as well as to their community listeners, for the support.
