As our city, province, and nation responds to the COVID-19 crisis, Streets Alive Mission is doing everything possible to ensure the well-being of our clients, donors, volunteers, and staff. We are monitoring the situation closely acting on the advice of Alberta Health Services and other public officials.
The people we serve are among the population most highly at risk of infectious disease… every day. Most have pre-existing health conditions with compromised immune systems, limited access to medical and poor nutrition.
Therefore, Streets Alive Mission, its executive staff and Board of Directors have determined that we will continue to offer all services, with the exception of Foot Friday (foot health program) as we continue to serve this vulnerable population.
We are taking precautionary measures to protect both our community and the public at large by:
- Continuing to provide essential services such as food, clean clothing, hygiene supplies, and sanitation items to people in need;
- Increasing sanitation and hygiene measures at all our locations;
- Implementing safety protocols in place to prevent the spread of disease as recommended by Alberta Health Services.
